Montour County Historical Society
The Montgomery House, built by General William Montgomery in 1792 is the home of the MCHS. A descendant of the Montgomerys lived in the oldest house in Danville until the 1940's. The BPOE 754, Danville's Elks Club purchased the home to save it from destruction

About the Montour County Historical Society

Dedicated to the collecting and preservation of Montour County artifacts. We have 3 museums, The Montgomery House, home of the Historical Society, the One Room Schoolhouse in Mooresburg and the Boyd House which is under construction.

Showcases

The Montgomery House has the biggest and best civil war artifacts in the area. Our board members are well educated in our collection and can answer any of your questions.
